Covid 19 Safety Charter
The COVID-19 Safety Charter is a Government-endorsed initiative to reinforce confidence in tourism businesses.
The COVID-19 Safety Charter reassures employers, employees, and customers that a business is prepared to reopen safely. By signing this Charter, businesses commit to following the recommended sector-specific guidelines and ensuring that all employees complete the required COVID-19 safety and hygiene control training.
In applying for the COVID-19 Safety Charter we have selected a COVID-19 Lead Worker Representative (COVID-19 co-ordinator/lead) and every employee has successfully completed appropriate COVID-19 hygiene and safety control training.
This training ensures team members will:
- Understand COVID-19 infection clearly.
- Recognize their role and responsibility in preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
- Understand and follow standard infection control precautions.
- Apply correct hand-washing techniques and practices.
- Use this knowledge effectively in their workplace.
In addition, at Caherconnell we are members of the Burren Ecotourism network and accordingly we endorse the safety charter they recommend for visitors. Copies of this charter are displayed on site and a digital version is available here.
