Courses are open to everyone, however some attendees may be interested in acquiring academic credit whilst completing their field school course. Academic Credit is provided by the National University of Ireland at Galway (NUI, Galway) with whom the school has a formal link.
The courses offered by the Caherconnell Archaeology Field School are accredited by the National University of Ireland, Galway. The National University of Ireland does not offer programmes equivalent to the US lower division, all NUI courses and programmes – including those of its field schools – are the equivalent of the US upper division, being aimed at advanced degree students and postgraduates.
