A purpose-built field school was opened at Caherconnell in 2012. It contains a lecture space, post-excavation lab, administrative office, storerooms, equipment room, and student lockers.
The school is stocked with a full range of excavation and survey equipment, catering for all on-site and processing tasks. These range from a simple optical level to a highly accurate Total Station/EDM, with access to the 3d scanners, drones, and geophysical equipment of our accrediting university, NUI Galway.
The Mountain Haven Café at Caherconnell provides snacks and lunch every day.
